  • 1 lb uncooked sausage (breakfast sausage or hot sausage)
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1¼ cups shredded cheddar cheese (sharp works best)
  • ¼ cup milk (optional, only if mixture feels too dry)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  3. In a large bowl, combine biscuit mix, seasoning packet, and softened cream cheese. Mix until mostly combined. It will be thick.
  4. Add the raw sausage and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix using clean hands or a sturdy spoon until fully combined. If the mixture feels crumbly or too stiff, mix in 1–2 tablespoons of milk at a time until workable.
  5. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place them about 1 inch apart on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through (no pink in the center).
  7. Optional: Melt 2 tablespoons butter and mix with a pinch of garlic powder and dried parsley. Brush over hot sausage balls right out of the oven.
